Picnic Continues Rapid Expansion with New Advisory Board Member, Andy Stevens

Industry veteran, Andy Stevens, has joined fast-growing social display leader, Picnic, as advisory board member. Stevens joins to help Picnic as they continue their rapid expansion, delivering intuitively-engaging social display ad formats on a unique marketplace of user-first mobile inventory.

Stevens has made a lasting imprint on the media, marketing and technology landscape. As an early advocate for impactful and measurable digital marketing, he founded Unique Digital in 2001. Later, after Stevens combined Unique with SYZYGY to form a leading EMEA agency, he launched and grew a successful US division. Since the merger and expansion, the market cap of the combined companies tripled, and the number of employees soared to over 700 people.

With 30 years of proven experience balancing profitability and growth, Stevens now uses his commercial mindset, operational skills and entrepreneurial drive to advise and scale up companies, like Picnic, through The Fulcrum Initiative.

Andy Stevens, says: “From the moment we started discussing a shared future, Matt and the team at Picnic Media have shown me such amazing ambition and enthusiasm to learn and grow, it has been a pleasure getting to know them. The culture is incredible, the energy tangible and their knowledge of the social display marketplace is second to none. I aim to help guide, encourage and support the business to achieve its goals… hoping I can inspire them along the way as much as they have already inspired me.”

Matthew Goldhill, Picnic CEO and founder, adds: “We’re incredibly excited to add Andy to the board. His advice and expertise will allow us to grow even faster and help us realise our mission of making Social Display a major digital advertising category.

“Andy has vast experience founding and growing profitable digital advertising businesses; I have already learnt a huge amount from him in the few months we’ve been working together and his support will be undoubtedly invaluable over the next few years.”
